FREE 30 Minute Assessment

Why Start With an Assessment?

Not every person with concerns needs myofunctional therapy—and that's exactly why an assessment is valuable.

During your complimentary 30-minute assessment, we take a closer look at your oral and facial function and discuss the concerns that brought you in.

We'll look at factors such as:

Tongue posture • Lip function • Breathing patterns • Swallowing • Oral habits • Jaw function • Facial muscle coordination

We'll then explain what we're seeing and whether a more comprehensive evaluation or myofunctional therapy may be appropriate.

You may be surprised by how many everyday concerns can be connected to the way your tongue, lips, jaw, and facial muscles function.

Do you or your child:

  • Breathe through your mouth or frequently have an open-mouth posture?

  • Have difficulty keeping your lips comfortably closed at rest?

  • Have a tongue thrust or unusual swallowing pattern?

  • Have a low, forward, or otherwise unusual tongue resting posture?

  • Snore or have concerns related to sleep and breathing?

  • Experience difficulty chewing or managing food?

  • Have speech sounds that may be affected by tongue placement?

  • Have a history of thumb sucking, pacifier use, or other oral habits?

  • Have a tongue-tie or restricted lingual frenum?

  • Have orthodontic concerns such as an open bite or concerns about orthodontic relapse?

  • Are preparing for or recovering from a lingual frenum release?

  • Experience jaw or facial muscle tension or difficulty with oral-facial coordination?
